Iced Turmeric Honey Latte

The summer version of golden milk — cold, creamy, and ready in 2 minutes.

Serves: 1

Ingredients

300 ml oat milk (or milk of choice)

     1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup

     ¼ tsp ground black pepper

     ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

     1 cup ice cubes

Method

1.  Make turmeric paste: Mix turmeric, honey, black pepper, and cinnamon with 2 tbsp warm water to form a paste.

2.  Fill glass: Fill a glass with ice. Pour in oat milk.

3.  Combine and serve: Stir in the turmeric paste until fully dissolved. Froth with a handheld frother if desired.

Tip: Make a turmeric concentrate ahead of time and store in the fridge. Shake with cold milk and ice when needed.

Health Facts

Turmeric (cold preparation): Curcumin is still bioavailable in cold drinks when combined with black pepper and a fat source like oat milk.

Oat milk (beta-glucan): The soluble fibre in oats helps lower LDL cholesterol and supports a healthy gut microbiome.

Cinnamon: Helps stabilise blood sugar — particularly useful as a morning drink before breakfast.

Raw honey: A natural prebiotic that feeds beneficial gut bacteria, with antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.
