Turmeric Coconut Panna Cotta

Smooth, creamy, and lightly spiced — this panna cotta is a golden twist on the classic Italian dessert. With coconut milk for a rich base and turmeric for an earthy, anti-inflammatory lift, it’s elegant enough for dinner parties yet simple enough to make on a weeknight.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 can coconut milk (400 ml)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1 tsp gelatin (or agar-agar for vegetarian option)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, gently warm the coconut milk, turmeric, honey, and vanilla (do not boil).
  2. Stir in gelatin until fully dissolved.
  3. Pour into moulds or serving glasses.
  4. Refrigerate overnight until set.
  5. Serve chilled, topped with fresh fruit or toasted coconut.
