Turmeric-Lemon Chicken Skewers with Yoghurt Dip
If summer had a flavour, these skewers would be it — juicy chicken, citrusy zing, a hint of spice, and a creamy cooling yoghurt dip. Quick to marinate and perfect for a BBQ.

Ingredients
For the skewers:
- 500 g chicken thigh, cubed
- 1 ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt & pepper
- Sliced lemon or spring onion (optional) for threading
For the dip:
- ½ cup Greek yoghurt
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Mix turmeric, paprika, honey, lemon juice, oil, garlic, salt and pepper into a marinade.
- Toss chicken through and marinate for at least 20 minutes.
- Thread chicken onto skewers with lemon slices or spring onion pieces.
- Grill or BBQ for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Stir yoghurt, oregano, lemon zest and salt together for the dip.
