Turmeric Prawn Tostadas

Crispy tostadas, juicy prawns, lime, and a golden dusting of turmeric — this is a fiesta your stomach will thank you for. Big flavour, minimal effort.

Ingredients

For the prawns:

  • 300 g prawns, peeled & deveined
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper

For the tostadas:

  • Corn tostadas or lightly toasted tortillas
  • Shredded cabbage
  • Diced red onion
  • Crumbled feta or cotija
  • Lime wedges
  • Drizzle of yoghurt or sour cream

Method

  1. Toss prawns with turmeric, paprika, lime juice, oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Pan-sear for 2–3 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Layer tostadas with cabbage, prawns, onion and cheese.
  4. Drizzle lightly with yoghurt or sour cream.
  5. Serve with lime wedges.
